This weekend was all about dogs!
On Saturday we went to Lucy's (my dog niece) vet for a Teddy Bear surgery day for kids. The stuffed animals ended up being puppies not bears. Each kid got to rescue a puppy who had swallowed some coins. They opened them up, took out the coins then put in your own little heart (like build a bear) and sewed them back up. Our kids (Grant and my nephew) were too little but the older kids were really into it. They gave them a gown, hair bonnet and mask for the OR. It was really well organized and they gave us a picture souvenir at the end. As part of the post-op instructions, they advised kids to make sure they clean up their rooms so their pets don't swallow something they're not supposed to. Nice!
On Sunday we did nothing. Cold day so we stayed in our pjs all day. Crawling seems to have gone from zero to sixty in the past week. He is fast and now makes a bee line for exactly what he's not supposed to. Plants, electric cords, dog door, dog toys and dog food. Of course like any good mother, I grabbed my phone to snap a picture before redirecting him.
