Baby Things We're Loving Lately

A friend told me yesterday that she was using my old list of favorite baby items to get ideas to start her baby registry, so I thought I'd update with what we're using lately!

G's been sleeping great recently.  I think we just lucked out because I'm not doing anything special, but some of these things definitely help!

We've moved on from the Swaddle Me Wrap to the Miracle Blanket.  Honestly, I was scared of wrapping his arms down in the Miracle Blanket at first (probably just because he was so tiny) but now I'm comfortable with it and G loves it.  There's nothing cuter than the morning time when I unwrap him and he smiles a huge grin and stretches his little arms up.  I need to get that on video before it's too late!

My mom gave us this and we keep it on the ocean sound.  (The whales are a little scary!)  He's pretty cute too.  As I looked up the picture for this post, I found that they sell a Sleep Sheep On the Go!

Our Graco Pack N Play has a great option - the soothing vibrations from the little bassinet can be transferred to the flat regular bed of the pack n play.  If G starts fussing, I turn on either the Sleep Sheep or the Soothing Vibrations (or both) and he usually goes back to sleep.  A couple of their models have this option - the one my parents have at their house does too.  (The removeable "cuddle cove" was great when he was tiny too - I'd carry it from room to room.)

Again, G loves this and we have a little routine each morning where he "plays" with his toys while I eat breakfast.  These activity gyms are pretty common, but I love that ours moves and plays music.  Not sure how many little activity mats do this too, but this is a picture and link to ours.

I've used Nuk and Medela but these by Lansinoh are my favorite.  Tip - store them flat instead of upright so they don't take up as much space in the freezer.  We've had the best luck defrosting and heating directly from the freezer in the bag before putting it in a bottle.  Plus you don't waste any by defrosting in the fridge and not needing it.  Since they are so thin, it takes no time to defrost.

Things we are NOT loving lately - BATTERIES!  Everything I mentioned today besides the Miracle Blanket and Breastmilk storage bags requires batteries!  :(
